9 Replacing the Laser Unit

Remove the rear cover, and fan duct.

Remove the platen, the CCD cover, the IP cover, and the IP PBA.

Remove the fan duct 2 (1), by sliding it to the rear.

Release the clips, and remove the cable guide (3).

Remove the cable (4), and the five screws (5). Disconnect the connector (6).

Then, remove the laser unit (7).
Replace the laser unit and refit all removed parts.
