Step Checks
5 Replace the tray control
PBA. Is the problem cor-
rected?
Checks
Switch on joint sensor.
Set the DIP switch SW3, on the
tray control PBA, as follows:
Does the motor M2 rotate when the
manual staple button is pressed? To
stop, press the button again.
Disconnect J5 from the tray control
PBA. Check the resistance between
J5-1 and J5-2: cable side. Correct is
approximately 100 Ohm.
Set the meter to the 500V DC
range. Connect to the tray control-
ler PBA: + to J5-1 and - to J5-2.
Does the meter reading change to
approximately 24 V, when the man-
ual staple button is pressed?
Yes/No Action
Yes End.
No Replace the copier's DC
controller PBA.
Yes/No Action
Yes Go to step 3.
No Check the cables
to motor M2. If
undamaged,
replace the motor
M2.
No Replace the tray
control PBA.
Yes Replace the bin
unit clock sensor
P12.
