4 Adjusting the Solenoid SL2

Prepare a test sheet.

Cut a sheet of A4 or LTR copy paper (64 g/m2) lengthways into strips of about
70 mm wide.
Remove the front cover and remove the cover from the RDF control PBA.

Shift bit 5 and 6 to ON: DIP switch (DSW1) on the RDF control PBA.

Press switch SW3.
The pick-up roller will rotate. The roller will stop rotating when it is at the
I
pick-up position for the fax mode.
When the pick-up roller stops, push the switch SW3.

The motor will stop.
