Step Checks
4 After steps 2 and 3, check the
output according to the table in
step 1. Is the reading of the
meter 1.2 V or lower?
5 Perform step 4. Is the problem
corrected?
Step Checks
1 Check the connection of
the communication cable,
between the copy data
controller and the copier.
1 Is the mode set correctly?
Use the DIP switch, on
the tray control PBA, to
set the mode.
Press the circuit breaker
CB1, on the tray control
PBA. Is the problem cor-
rected?
3 Check the continuity over
the resistor R12, on the
tray control PBA.
Approximately 2.2 Ohm?
4 Set the meter to the DC
range. Connect the + to
J1-2 and the – to J1-1 on
the tray control PBA.
Does the voltage change
to approximately 24 V?
Y/N Action
No Mount the sensor cor-
rectly.
Yes End.
No Replace the sensor.
(After replacement, be
sure to adjust each sen-
sor.)
Yes/No Action
No Connect the cable cor-
rectly.
No Reset the mode set.
Yes End.
No Replace the tray control
PBA.
No Check the copier's 24V
power supply.
