Checks
Inspect the connection of
J153, to the laser driver PBA.
Perform key operation during
stand-by. Is the sound of the
rotation of the laser scanner
motor heard?
Is there a power supply to the
laser driver PBA?
J152 1 = 24 V.

J152 2 = 0 V.
I
Replace the DC control PBA.
Is the problem corrected?
Checks
Switch OFF, then ON. Is the
problem corrected?
Execute 'IP-CHK' in service
mode (*4*). Is 'OK' indi-
cated after execution?
Yes/No Action
No
Connect the connector.
Yes
Go to step 4.
Check the wiring
No
between the connector
J152 on the laser scan-
ner driver PBA to the
connector J204-5/-6 on
the composite power
supply PBA .
Yes Try replacing the follow-
ing items:
Laser scanner drive
I
PBA
Laser unit
I
Yes End
No Replace the laser unit
Yes/No Action
Yes End
No Replace the image proc-
essor PBA
Yes End if the problem is
corrected after turning
OFF/ON the main
power supply. If 'E190'
is indicated, replace the
DC controller PBA.
