5 Detection of jams

Seven paper sensors (figure) are used to check whether copy paper is moving
properly.
The microprocessor on the DC controller PBA runs checks the presence/ab-
sence of paper at specific sensors at specific times. When it detects a jam, it
will turn OFF the main motor and indicate a jam message on the control panel.
