2 IP software update

The software for the image processing system resides in two flash ROM's
(IC103 and IC104). These are of the DIMM-type (Dual In-line Memory Mod-
ule). There are two ways to update the system software:
By replacing the flash ROM.

By downloading new software to the existing flash ROM.

Replacing the flash ROM
Switch OFF.

Disconnect the mains supply cable.

Remove the following:- the platen,- the lens cover- and the IP cover.

While opening the claw, lift the ROM to remove.
