pum p needs cha nging or not; use a straight edge and a feeler g au ge.
If the oil pum p ro tors have been dism antled then check, at reassem bly, that the m a rks
on the internal ro tor and the m ark on the e xternal rotor are aligned. C heck that the
pum p m ounting s urface is not scored, grooved o r pitted.
