S et a stand or a block under the e ngine and see th at the rea r w he el is lifted
from the g round.
R em ove: scre w s (1), transm ission sprocket guard (2), m aster link an d
transm ission chain (3).
R em ove: the cap s (4) and th e rea r suspension vertical link (6) upper
fastening nut (5 ), the rea r brake p um p guard (7), th e rear s w ing a rm axle (8 )
nut; extract the a xles (9) an d (8 ).
U nscre w the nut (A ) of the w heel axle (C ) and e xtract it. It is not necessary to
unloose the chain adjusters (B ); in this w a y, the c hain tension w ill rem ain
unchanged afte r the reassem bly. E xtract the com p lete rear w heel, b y taking
care of the space rs located at the hub sides.
R em ove the re ar sw ing a rm b y pu lling it back.
C heck parallelism of the fork pin (see page J.??? ) and check b y ha nd the
w e ar state of the needle bushes (D ) and th e releva nt bushings (E ); rotate the
bushing inside the bearing; in case an y friction or n oise is noticed, replace.
