P repare the diap hragm w ith asse m bled O R (w e a dvise using a new o ne for each
replacem ent). F ill up the rese rvoir w ith oil and insert the diaphragm into the
reservoir, (see p hoto).
Q uickly push th e diaphragm do w n w a rds at the b ottom of the rese rvoir holding fast
the fork rod in th e topping up position. T he oil topp ed up in the rese rvoir is
transferred into the shock absorber bod y, then sifting throug h the p osition blades,
it reaches the re quired level. A void possible air intake b y quickly ca rrying out
these operations.
P roceed b y topping up until reaching appro x. 2 cm s (0.8 in.) from the bod y e dge.
T hen, e xecute 4 or 5 alternating s trokes of 5 - 6 c m s (2-2.4 in.) to bleed the air left
under the piston unit.

K eep the fork rod in position and run the fork rod g uide to fit the shock absorber
tube.
D rive the fork ro d guide inside the bod y un til the snap ring housing is free. Insert
the snap ring an d tighten it in position. P ull the fork rod up w ards to take the fork
rod guide in w o rking position.
