Inspect pads for w e ar.
S ervice lim it A
a) T he front p ad thickness m ust not be lo w er th an 3,5 m m (S M ) or 3.8 m m (T E ).
b) A t the back: th ickness A m ust never be lo w e r th an 3,8 m m -0.15 in.
If service lim it is exceeded, alw a ys replace the pad s.
B e careful that n o disc brake fluid or an y oil gets on brake pads or discs.
C lean off an y fluid or oil that inadvertently g ets on the pads or disc w ith alcohol.
R eplace the pad s w ith ne w ones if the y cannot be cleaned satisfactorily.
P A D S R E M O V A L
-R em ove springs (1).
-R em ove pins (2).
-R em ove pads.
P A D S IN S T A LL A T IO N
- Install new brak e pads.
- R eassem ble th e tw o pins (2) a n d the springs (1): check for the correct
assem bly of the clip on the pin seat.
If the above procedure is follow e d it w ill not be nec essary to bleed the brake
system after ne w pads have been fitted.
P um ping the bra ke lever several tim es is sufficient to return the pistons to their
norm al position.
