U se a 10 m m w rench to rem ove the nut (1 ) unde r the rubbe r cap an d a 8 m m
w rench
to rem ove the starting m otor and ground cable screw s (2). R em ove the starting
m otor.
S tarter m o to r c h eck
If a fault has bee n diagnosed in th e starter m oto r, it is necessary to proceed as
follow s w ith the c heck:
- connect a teste r betw ee n earth and the starte r m otor term inal;
- check that there is continuity be tw e en the p ositive pole and the e ngine earth. If
there is no continuity, substitute the starter m oto r.
A pply a sm all quantity of L O C T IT E 243 to the bolts of the starter m otor.
