T he braking s ystem m ust be blee d w hen, due to air in the circuit, the lever
stroke is long and spong y.
T o bleed the s ystem :
- R em ove the ru bber cap on th e bleeding valve (1).
- A ttach a clear p lastic hose to the bleeding valve on the brake caliper and tu rn
the other e nd of the hose into a co ntainer (m ake su re that the end of the hose
is subm erged in brake fluid during the entire bleeding operation ).
- R em ove fluid re servoir cap (2), the rubbe r and fill the reservoir w ith fresh
brake fluid.
- O pe n the bleeding valve and pum p w ith brake le ver (3) several tim es until the
fluid, clear and w ithout bubbles, com es out of the hose: no w close the
bleeding valve.
- R estore the bra ke fluid level (A ) then reassem ble the rubbe r and th e fluid
reservoir cap (2 ).

A s th e b rakin g flu id is a ve ry co rro sive su b sta n ce, in th e cas e it
co m es in c o n ta ct w ith yo u r e ye s w ash th em a b u n d a n tly w ith w ater.

leftw ard s. T h is is th e w a y to lift p u m p ta n k a n d to m ake easier th e
b leed in g o f th e b rakin g s ystem .
A s th e b lee d in g o p era tio n d o es n o t fu lly elim in ate th e air in sid e th e
circu it, th e s m all q u a n tity o f air rem ain in g in sid e w ill b e elim in a ted
after a s h o rt tim e o f u se o f th e b rake. In th is cas e h o w e ver, th e actio n
o f th e le ver w ill b e h ard er an d th e stro ke sh o rter.
