T he charging s ys tem consists of:
- A lternator (2);
- V oltage reg ulator-rectifier (3);
- B attery (1 6).
T he A C current p roduced b y the alternator is converted b y the regulator rectifier
into D C curre nt.
T he reg ulator-rec tifier prevents overcharging of th e battery and cha nges the
A C current to the D C curre nt.
A ll these com ponents m aintain a constant voltage a nd prevent the b attery
from overcharging.
