H E A D L A M P
H ead la m p a d ju s tm e n t (T E - S M )
T he fro nt headla m p is fitted a dipping bulb for m ain and dipped be am s and a
pilot/side lam p bulb.
P articular care should be taken to adjust the headlam p beam ; adjus t as fol-
low s:
- position the m otorc ycle at 33 ft from a flat w all;
- check that the b ike is on a level surface and that the headlam p a xis is at right
angles to the w all;
- the bike should be in a vertical position;
- m easure th e distance from the ground to the ce ntre of the headlam p lens
and then m a rk a cross at the sam e height on the w all;
- sw itch on to dipped beam ; the u pper lim it of the b eam should be at a height
w hich is so greater than 9/1 0 of th e height from th e ground of the ce ntre of the
headlam p.
- T E ; adjust the h eadlam p aim ing b y turning scre w (6) to lo w e r or lift the high
beam .
- S M ; unscre w th e 2 scre w s (7) a n d adjust the head lam p to low e r or lift the
high beam .

T o gain access to the headlam p bulbs, proceed a s follow s:
- T E , re m ove the four fastening elastics (1) and the headlam p holde r;
- S M , rem ove the screw (3) a nd th e headlam p hold er;
- rem ove the tw o filam ents bulb (12V -35/35W fro T E and 12v-55/60 W for S M )
connector (2 ) an d the boot (3);
- release the bulb holding spring (4) then the bulb itself.
T o replace the p arking light bulb (5) (12V -3W for T E and 12v-5W fo r S M ) e x-
tract it from the inside cover. A fter replacem ent, re verse operations for reas-
sem bly.
M ake su re n o t to tig h te n th e sc rew s excessively.
