6.1 Installing the rack seal plate
Caution: Some components are heavy.
Caution: Disconnect all power sources before servicing.

Required tools
None
To install the rack seal plate:
1. Power the system down.
2. From the rear of the rack, remove the rear fans from the bottom Storage Enclosure Basic.
a. From the rear of the chassis, remove the rear fans by pressing the release button on the top right
of the fan.
b. Tilt the top of the fan out until clear of the rubber bumpers attached to the chassis.
c. Repeat the previous steps to remove the remaining rear fans.

Warning: Do not place fingers anywhere near the fan blades while powered on.
3. On the bottom of the rack, locate the screw holes closest to the rear of the rack.
4. Install a cage nut in each of the two holes. The right side is display in the figure below. The hole on
the left side is located directly across from the hole on the right side, in the same position.
