A multi-site system can support up to 21 System Expansion Nodes. System Expansion Nodes do not need
to be mirrored across multiple sites.

Important: If you are installing System Expansion Nodes in multiple racks,
install all of the kits in a single rack before moving on to the next rack.
9.6 Installing the System Expansion Node PDU kit
Important: To determine if you need to install a third PDU, refer to
System Expansion Node kits
To install a third PDU into an ActiveScale X100 system:
1. From the rear of the rack, feed the plug through the opening in the top of the rack. Ensure the plug is
draped over the rack in a safe location and will not fall back through the hole.
Note: The PDU cables may also go through the bottom of the rack if the power
source is below the rack.
