3. Complete the Configuration page:

Important: The Master Encryption Phrase can be any length and can contain
any special character except spaces. Once the post-login configuration wizard
completes, you can no longer change the Master Encryption Phrase.
Important: The ActiveScale OS supports system-wide and object-level
encryption by generating encryption keys based on a Master Encryption
Phrase you specify. Encryption is an option that may be unavailable in certain
countries. Best practice is to specify a Master Encryption Phrase whether or
not you can enable encryption, and to save a copy of this phrase offline.
e. Type a passcode for the
Important: The Western Digital Support Passcode is your portion of the two-
factor password for the https://portal.wdc.com/Support/s/login/ user. It is limited
to 20 characters. You can change it at any time to allow/deny access to your
system by Western Digital Support.
f. Paste in your SSL certificates for ActiveScale SM and the S3 interface.
Note: SSL certificates must be in PEM format. Your PEM file must contain (in
this order):
i.
A public SSL certificate
ii.
A private SSL key
iii. All necessary intermediate certificates all the way up to the intermediate or
root certificates that are included in standard web browsers
If you enter an invalid SSL certificate, SSL will be disabled until you enter a
valid certificate through ActiveScale SM.
g. Type the IP address(es) of the DNS server(s) you want the system to connect to.
h. Type the IP address(es) or fully qualified domain name(s) (FQDN) of the NTP servers you want
the system to connect to.
i. Specify how the system will send notifications.
Important: Make sure that the SMTP server you choose can be pinged from
System Node 1. If you enter an SMTP server that System Node 1 cannot ping,
you will receive an error during post-configuration. If you change the SMPTP
server, always send a test email before continuing with post-configuration.
