Installing the Avaya™ S8700 Media Server with Avaya™ MCC1 or SCC1 Media Gateway
Route the media gateway GROUND wire to the single-point ground block at the AC load

center and connect.
NOTE:
If the media gateway is located remotely (in a separate room or building), connect the
media gateway GROUND wire to an approved ground.
5 Repeat connecting each media gateway to the single-point ground block.
At the AC load center, connect a 10 AWG (#25) (6 mm

block. This ground wire will later be tie-wrapped to the trunk cables and connected to the
Coupled Bonding Conductor (CBC) ground block at the MDF.
The Coupled Bonding Conductor (CBC) wires are installed and terminated in
the Coupled Bonding Conductor'' on page
