Using Multitiered Directory Navigation

Polycom, Inc.

You can configure your HDX system to display multitiered system directories
or contacts lists. When configured, HDX systems display contacts in a
hierarchical format, where you can select the top directory and search for
contacts within each level of the directory hierarchy. This structure is known
as a multitiered directory (MTD).
To use MTD, your HDX system must meet one of the following conditions:
Be provisioned by the RealPresence Resource Manager system that
supports multitiered directory structure for LDAP. For information on
using MTD on a provisioned HDX system, refer to
Provisioned HDX System
If not provisioned, the HDX system must use the RealPresence Resource
Manager as its LDAP server. For other requirements, refer to
MTD on a Non-Provisioned HDX System
This feature is supported using a RealPresence Resource Manager integrated
with Active Directory (LDAP); it does not include standalone LDAP servers or
other global directory servers. For details on provisioning an HDX system
from RealPresence Resource Manager, refer to
page 9-8.
Points to note about using MTD:
Use RealPresence Resource Manager 7.1 and higher only.
You can search and navigate up to three directory levels.
You cannot use Polycom Touch Control to navigate the HDX system LDAP
directories.
You can enable MTD on provisioned and non-provisioned HDX systems.

Enabling MTD on a Provisioned HDX System

To use MTD on a provisioned HDX system, you must go to the RealPresence
Resource Manager and configure the Provisioning Profile with a
