Points to Note About MTD and the Default Group Setting:
If your HDX system uses RealPresence Resource Manager as an LDAP server,
and if the HDX system Default Group setting is left blank, the following might
occur: the directory access and display still works on the HDX system, but it only
displays the flat format of the directory structure (not the MTD format).
If the Default Group setting is configured on an HDX system that is connected
to a RealPresence Resource Manager that does not support MTD, no directory
entries are displayed. To restore directory service and to perform manual
searches for directory entries, remove any entries in Default Group and restore
the setting to blank.
The global directory provides a list of other systems that are registered with
the Global Directory Server and available for calls. The other systems appear
in the directory, allowing users to place calls to other users by selecting their
names.
You can configure the system to use one of the following directory servers in
standard operating mode.
