FLOAT LEVEL
Measure the float level with the carburetor inclined
15°-45° from vertical and the float tang just
contacting the float valve.
SPECIFICATION: '83: 6.0 mm (0.24 in)
NOTE:
'84, '85: 7.5 mm (0.29 in)
After '85: 8.0 mm (0.31 in)
Measure the float level nearest the float valve.
'83, '84, '85:
Adjust the float level by carefully bending the float
tang.
.After '85:
Replace the float assembly if it is out of specifica·
tion.
FLOAT AND JETS
Remove the float pin, float, and float valve.
Inspect the float valve for grooves and nicks.
Inspect the operation of the float valve.
