Remove the camshaft holder dowel pins and the
intake and exhaust camshafts.
Remove the cam sprockets from the camshafts.
CAMSHAFT/CAM HOLDER
INSPECTION
Inspect the camshaft and holder journal surfaces
for scoring, scratches, or evidence of insufficient
lubrication.
CAMSHAFT RUNOUT
Check camshaft runout with a dial indicator.
Support both ends of the camshaft with V ·blocks.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.10 mm (0.004
in)
