IGNITION SWITCH
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the headlight and headlight case.
Remove the coupler box cover (page 15-3) .
Remove the instruments (page 15·7) .
Disconnect the ignition switch wire coupler.
Remove the ignition switch mounting bolts, and
ignition switch.
Install the ignition switch in the reverse order of
removal.
DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY
'83, '84, '85:
Open the wire clamp.
Insert the ignition key and turn it to between the
ON and OFF detent positions.
Push the lugs into the slots and pull the contact
base from the switch.
Assemble the ignition switch in the reverse order of
disassembly.
