IGNITION COIL
REMOVAL
Remove the side covers and seat.
Make sure the fuel tank is less than half-fu ll. Drain
it, if it is more then half-full. Remove the tank
mounting bolts, life the fuel tank up, and hold it
in place with the tank support rod .
Disconnect the ignition wire leads.
Remove the coils by removing the attaching bolts.
CONTINUITY TEST
Measure the primary coil resistance.
RESISTANCE: 2.8

Measure the secondary coil resistance with the
spark plug caps in place.
RESISTANCE : 21-28 kll
