Engine Bottom Side Disassembly
Refer to "Engine Assembly Removal (Page 1D-18)".
Refer to "Engine Top Side Disassembly (Page 1D-25)".
CAUTION
!
Identify the position of each removed part.
Organize the parts in their respective groups
(e.g., intake, exhaust) so that they can be
reinstalled in their original positions.
NOTE
The crankcase must be separated to service
the crankshaft, oil pump.
1) Remove the engine assembly. Refer to "Engine
Assembly Removal (Page 1D-18)".
2) Remove the cylinder head, cylinder and piston.
Refer to "Engine Top Side Disassembly (Page 1D-
25)".
Starter Motor
Remove the starter motor (1).
Generator Cover
1) Remove the generator cover (1) and clutch cable
stopper (2) by removing the generator cover bolts
(3).

2) Remove the gasket (4), dowel pins (5) and clutch

Starter Idle Gear
Remove the idle gear shaft (7) and starter idle gear (8).
Clutch
Remove the clutch component parts (1). Refer to "Clutch

Removal in Section 5C (Page 5C-7)".

Oil Pump
1) Remove the snap ring (1).

Engine Mechanical:
push rod (6).

Do not drop the snap ring (1) into the
crankcase.
