  • Page 247 Stelvio 1200 NTX ABS Braking system ABS SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The ABS system is a device to avoid wheels lock- ing in case of emergency braking, increasing ve- hicle braking stability when compared to a tradi- tional braking system. Sometimes when the brake is operated, the tyre locks with a consequent loss of grip, which makes it difficult to control the vehicle.
