Ensure
the union faces are not scored or nicked in
such a way as to impair
tightness.
Replace
cover
as
necessary.

STRIPPING OF CYLINDER HEADS

Fit tool

and
in
the
center
of the valve
head.
•
Screw
in
the
spring compressor
tool
screw till
the spring
is
compressed (do this moderately so as
not to deform the tOOl)

lighlly
tap
the 1001
on top
to
break away the coilets from
the lOP
collar.
•
Now
screw
i
n the
toot until the coliets can be
drawn
QUI.

CYLINDER HEADS
Inspect
that
:
•
No
cooling
fins
are
broken
.
•
The rocker
covers faces
are
not
nicked
or
scored
so as to
impair
tightness.
This
done,
proceed as follows
:
•
Remove all
carbon
deposits using
a
blunt
scra-
per
and a metal
brush.
