■ VLAN Configuration Procedure

Start up Intel

For Windows Server 2003
1. Click [Start] → [Control Panel] → [Intel(R) PROSet Wired].
For Windows 2000 Server
1. Click [Start] → [Settings] → [Control Panel].
The [Control Panel] window appears.
2. Start up "Intel(R) PROSet for Wired connection".

Select a LAN card to setup a VLAN and right-click it.

Click [Add VLAN].

Specify [ID] and [Name]. Then click [OK].
The [ID] should be identical with the switch setting.
The [Name] does not need to be identical with the switch setting.

Repeat Step 2 through 4 to set respective VLANs.

Click [Apply].
When setup of the VLAN is completed, the following virtual adapter will be created.
• "Intel(R) Advanced Network Services Virtual Adapter"
Upper protocols will be bound with the main virtual adapter.
You cannot bind them with the LAN card consisting a VLAN.
The IP address should be specified in the main virtual adapter.

5.7.6 Local Address Setting

Specify a local address according to the following procedures:
