Check the status of the memory board power LED. If it is lit, press the power
button of the memory board that contains the defective memory.
Check that the power LED of the memory board is turned off.
Check the Mirror Configuration LED or RAID Configuration LED is turned on that
indicates the memory modules can be replaced without turning off the server. For details
about LEDs on the memory board, refer to "1.3.5 Memory Board" ( pg.28).

Remove the memory board.
Press the handle switch (1). The handle (2) pops out. Hold the handle and lift it to remove (3).

Replace the memory module.
For instructions on replacing the memory module, refer to "7.4.4 How to Install Memory
Modules" ( pg.197) and follow steps 5 to 8.
