Chapter 7 Installing Internal Options

7.7.2 Installable 5-inch Internal Devices and Notes

This section describes the installable 5-inch internal devices and notes. Check this section before
installing.
Installable 5-inch Internal Devices
The following types of 5-inch internal devices can be installed in this server.
Tape Drv DAT72 36GB interal
Tape Drv VXA-2 80GB
Tape Div LTO2 Ultrim2 200GB
Connection
Install a SCSI Ctrl U160 (PG-128) to connect a 5-inch internal device.
SCSI ID
The SCSI ID is "4" or "5". Refer to the manual of the 5-inch internal device to confirm if it is set to "4"
or "5".

7.7.3 How to Install the 5-inch Internal Device

Perform the following procedures to install a 5-inch internal device. For installing a 5-inch internal
device, SCSI Ctrl U160 (PG-128) must be installed in advance.

Set the SCSI IDs of the 5-inch internal devices.
For SCSI IDs of devices, refer to "n Installable 5-inch Internal Devices" ( pg.220).

Turn off the server and connected devices, and unplug all power cables from
the outlet.

Remove the top cover.

Touch a metal part of the server to discharge static electricity.
