4.2.2 Stationary Jams

a. Ordinary Stationary Jam
The machine checks for a stationary jam as follows:
The machine will identify the following condition as a stationary jam: the time it takes
for paper to move from the stationary jam sensor N in question to the next sensor is con-
trolled in relation to the number of clock pulses from the main motor; the sensor N does
not go OFF within a specific period of time after the sensor N goes ON.

b. Stationary Jam at Power-On
The machine will identify the following condition as a stationary jam: the delivery sen-
sor (PS103) goes ON 1.4 sec after the initial rotation (INTR), or the registration sensor
(PS101) goes ON at the start of initial rotation (INTR).
