MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH (Continued)
SWITCH DIAGNOSIS
(1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable (Fig. 27).
(2) Remove the upper and lower steering column
shrouds.
(3) Disconnect the switch connector.
Using an ohmmeter, test for continuity between
the terminals of the switch as shown in the MULTI-
FUNCTION SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST table for
diagnosis. Refer to (Fig. 28), (Fig. 29), and (Fig. 30)
for connector terminal locations.
SWITCH POSITION
TURN SIGNAL IN NEUTRAL, HAZARD
WARNING SWITCH OFF
TURN SIGNAL ON, HAZARD WARNING
SWITCH OFF
