5. Fuel System

Air Filter Inspection

1. Remove air filter cover
screws.
2. Remove cover.
3. Remove air filter element.

4. Remove clamp on air inlet
tube.

5. Disconnect air tube from
carburetor.
AIR FILTER COVER
6. Remove air box. Make sure
that the element is clean and free
of dirt and oil. Excessive dirt and
oil on the element can reduce
engine performance.
7. During reassembly, make sure
that the cover and tube
connections are tight and do not
leak. Air filter box leakage can
reduce engine performance.
