14. The Battery and the Charging System
Attention:
•No sparks should be allowed around the
battery.
•Turn off the charger first, either at the
beginning or the end of the charging, to
prevent sparks, which can cause an
explosion.
•When charging, operate at the current
and time marked on the battery.
•Unless in an emergency situation, do not
use fast charging.
•Measure the voltage only 30 minutes
after charging.
Charging current:
Standard 0.4A
Fast: 2A
Charging Hours:
Standard: 5-10hrs
Fast: 1hrs.
When charging ends:
Open-circuit voltage: above 12.8V
Note: During charging, the temperature of the
battery is not allowed to go beyond 45˚C (110˚F).
