Electrical system

ENGINE PICK-UP

The engine pick-up is situated on the left side of the
motorcycle. To check this component it is necessary to
identify the relative connector positioned as shown in
the figure, inside the frame on the left side of the motor-
cycle.

After having disconnected the pick-up connector, mea-
sure the resistance between the two points identified by
a (+) and a (-) that are indicated on the connector.
Pick-up resistance value: ~ 680 – 700 ΩΩ
E.A.S. (electronically assisted shift is not included
in all models)
E.A.S. mode, which can be selected from the menu, is
used to change gear without using the clutch and with-
out closing the gas knob.
Installed on the gear change rod, this device detects
the pressure exerted on the gear lever and sends the
information to the ECU, which blocks the supply of
electric current to the reels by lowering the torque
value of the gear for the amount of time required to
engage the next gear.
Remove the connector and check continuity between
pins 2 and 3 through the pressure sensor (gear lever
raised).
