shaft position sensor and the

Go to the next step.
No
Inspect the following:
ECT sensor
(See
(ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION
Open or short circuit between ECT sensor
and PCM terminal 2AH or 2AY
Yes
Inspect the Drive-by-wire Control System Inspection.

ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION INSPECTION
[13B-MSP].)
No
Go to the next step.
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Inspect the following:
Open or short circuit in eccentric shaft
position sensor
Open or short circuit between eccentric
shaft position sensor and PCM terminal
2AG or 2AP
Open or short circuit in eccentric shaft
position sensor harnesses
Yes
Go to the next step.
PCM terminal 2AK—
throttle body terminal F
PCM terminal 2P—throttle
body terminal C
PCM terminal 2AL—
throttle body terminal D
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE
If the eccentric shaft
position sensor and the
wiring harness are
normal, go to the next
step.
