In addition, if the DNS server was not enabled in the Network Management Service on the Collaboration
Server, it must be enabled for the integration in Microsoft Office Communications Server (R2, Wave 13) and
the Lync Server (Wave 14) environments.
Modify the Collaboration Server Management Network Service to
Include the DNS Server
The Management Network that is defined during first entry setup does not include the definition of the DNS
which is mandatory in Microsoft environment and has to be modified.
In Multiple Networks configurations, a DNS server can be specified for each IP Network Service and
for the Collaboration Server Management Network Service.
To add the definition of the DNS to the Management Network in the Collaboration Server:
1 Using the Web browser, connect to the Collaboration Server.
2 In the Collaboration Server Management pane, expand the Rarely Used list and click IP Network
Services.
3 In the IP Network Services pane, double-click Management Service.
The Management Network Properties - IP dialog box opens.
4 Click the DNS tab.
5 In the DNS field, select Specify to define the DNS parameters.
6 View or modify the following fields:
