Example
The following example configures the spanning-tree cost on port g15 to 35000.
console(config)# interface ethernet g15
console(config-if)# spanning-tree cost 35000

spanning-tree port-priority

The spanning-tree port-priority Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command
configures port priority. To reset the default port priority, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
spanning-tree port-priority priority
no spanning-tree port-priority
priority — The port-priority. (Range: 0 - 240 in multiples of 16)
Default Configuration
The default port-priority for IEEE STP is 128.

User Guidelines
The port-priority value must be a multiple of 16 or 0.
Example
The following example configures the spanning priority on port g15 to 96.
console(config)# interface ethernet g15
console(config-if)# spanning-tree port-priority 96

spanning-tree portfast

The spanning-tree portfast Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command
enables PortFast mode. In PortFast mode, the interface is immediately put into the forwarding
state upon linkup, without waiting for the timer to expire. To disable PortFast mode, use the no
form of this command.
Syntax
spanning-tree portfast
no spanning-tree portfast
