V. CHARGING
ASSEMBLY
A. Photosensitive Drum
1. Removing the Drum Unit
1) Open the front covers, and remove the pro-
cess cover.
2) Remove the mounting screw q, and discon-
nect the three connectors w; then, open the
LCD screen.

3) Remove the transfer charging dust-proofing
fan. (see p. 4-11)

4) Disconnect the connector e from the toner
level detection PCB, and disconnect the faston
from the pole positioning plate.

Caution:
Be sure to hold the positioning plate with
fingers whenever pulling off the faston r of
the pole positioning plate. (Otherwise, the
pole positioning plate may come off the
cylinder shaft.)
5) Remove the two mounting screws t, and
remove the developing assembly duct y.
