7. Fixing Assembly Locking Mechanism
The fixing assembly is designed so that it may
be slid out to the front.
If a jam stops the operation and the fixing
assembly paper sensor (Q10) and the delivery
sensor (Q15), or Q10 and the paper reversing
assembly inlet sensor (Q11) detect the copy
paper at the same time, the fixing assembly lock-
ing solenoid (SL16) is powered so that the fixing
assembly cannot be removed.
This is to prevent tearing of the paper if it
straddles over the fixing assembly and the deliv-
ery assembly.
Advise the user to remove such a jam by
opening the delivery door.
