Configuring an Internal Router

1.
If one does not already exist, create a loopback interface.
Syntax: interface loopback <interface number>
2.
Assign the loopback interface an IP address.
Syntax: ip address <router ID> <subnet mask>
This address will be the local router ID. For example:
ProCurve(config-loopback 1)# ip address 192.168.254.2 /28
Syntax: ip address <router ID> <subnet mask>
3.
Move to the global configuration mode context and access the OSPF
configuration mode context:
ProCurve(config)# router ospf
