You can also debug PIM-SM to monitor PIM-SM events as they occur. For
example, if an upstream router is not forwarding multicasts to your router,
you can view debug messages to discover whether the local router is sending
the proper joins. Use the commands shown in Table 13-6.
PIM debug messages can be draining on the router's processor.
