You can alter the settings for the default TCP, UDP, and ICMP timeouts.
These settings determine when the router will timeout any inactive TCP,
UDP, or ICMP session for which you do not set an override timeout (see
below). Enter the time in hours, minutes, and seconds in the fields to the
left of each label. See Figure 16-21 on page 16-30.

Click Apply to save your changes.

You can also set different timeouts for specific TCP and UDP protocols.
These settings override the global, default setting.
a.
In the General Firewall window, move to the Add/Modify/Delete IP
Policy Timeout window.
b. Select TCP or UDP from the Protocol pull-down menu.

Select the specific application from the Port Type pull-down menu.
d. Enter the session timeout in hours, minutes, and seconds in the fields
to the left of the corresponding labels.

Click Add/Modify.
