Overview

15.1
The HP Smart Array data sheet describes both host-based Smart Array HBA devices and externally
attached MSA devices. This implementation excludes fibre-attached devices (for example MSA1000
and MSA1500).
The following profiles are implemented, and the following files are installed by this provider.

Use cases

15.2
For use cases, see the HP Smart Array Profile (P00121).
This provider implements a read-only version of the profiles referenced. Configuration functionality is
not supported by this provider. This is in accordance with the SNIA profiles, because HP does not
advertise and ConfigurationService type classes.

Class implementations

15.3
The following sections define the supported properties for the Smart Array provider. Details for each
property can be found in the HP Smart Array profile (P00121) and associated MOF file.

15.3.1HPSA_ArraySystem

HPSA_ArraySystem represents the top level system. There is one instance per HBA or external
subsystem.
