4.8 Defining address spaces
To use the protocols above, PROFIBUS address spaces have to be defined for each one.
Due to the unique nature of each protocol simultaneous read and write requests to the devices can
inflict each other. It is therefore not recommended to use more than one protocol in each address
space.
However, if overlapping protocol spaces and the use of more protocols at the same time are necessary
it should be treated with utmost caution and knowledge about the risks for the system since the
communication status is not clearly defined anymore and errors or communication fails can occur.
