Removing the Power Supply

WARNING
This procedure should be done only by technically qualified
personnel. Unplug the system before doing the procedures
described here. Failure to disconnect the power before you open
the system can result in personal injury or equipment damage.
1. Observe the precautions in "Before You Begin."
2. Label and disconnect power connectors from all peripheral devices.
3. Label and disconnect the power connector from the system board.
4. Remove the three screws securing the power supply to the chassis
(Figure 4-14, A).
CAUTION
!
Hold the power supply while removing the last screw to
prevent the power supply from falling and damaging other
system components.
5. Slide the power supply away from the rear of the chassis and lift it out
of the chassis (Figure 4-14, B).
