System Board Removal and Replacement

Use the following steps to remove and replace the system board.

Removing the System Board

Remove the system board as follows.
1. Turn off the system and disconnect the system power cord.
2. Ensure that all external cables are disconnected from the rear of the system.
3. Remove the system unit cover (see "Removing the Cover").
4. Lift the insertion/extraction latch up slightly and pull it away from the
system unit (see the following figures). The board releases and slides part
way out of the system.
