Symptom:
VPN-SSL problem with File-Sharing on Win2003 server
Condition:
find a problem to connect a File-Sharing over VPN-SSL with USG-300 on a Win2003
Server, client try to connect with a "anonymous" user, I cannot see the login windows
from java SSL-client who's ask for user and password like SSL-10. Please check this trace
from W2003 server.
32. [BUG FIX] SPR ID: 071211496
Symptom:
Self-signed certificate cannot be imported in ZyNOS "trusted remote host"
Condition:
1. Customer reported this issue from ITS system. The procedure is listed as follows.
- Create a self-signed certificate on ZW1050
- Select"E-mail"
- Use Organization Unit:"Department"
- Use Organization:"Organization"
- Use Country:"NL"
- Use Key length: 1024
- Select"Create a self-signed certificate"
- Export the certificate by viewing the details and the option"Export Certificate Only"
2. Error message"Only self-signed remote host certificates can be imported" will be popped
up.
3. If you do not specify the Organization Unit, Organization and Country, ZyNOS
ZyWALL can recognize such certificate.
The root cause of this problem self-signed certificate generated by ZW1050 does not have
identical"Subject" and"Issuer". These two fields are reverse.
