Crowd Density Statistics
Crowd density monitoring monitors the number of people in a specified area and triggers an
alarm if the number exceeds the set alarm threshold.
1. Go to Menu > VCA > VCA Config.
2. Select a camera.
3. Select Crowd Density Monitoring and click
4. Set the crowd density monitoring rule.

Description
A detection box is displayed in the left preview window by default.
You can adjust the position of it or draw an area as needed. Only
1 detection area is allowed.
Adjust the position of the default detection area: Point to a
border of the area and drag it to the desired position.
• Draw an area: Click on the image and drag to draw a line. Repeat the
action to draw more lines to form an enclosed shape as needed. Up
to 6 lines are allowed.
Set the time interval for reporting crowd density statistics. Default: 60.
Range: 1 to 60.
The device reports crowd density statistics to the uplink platform at
set intervals. The uplink platform must subscribe to the function to
receive the statistics.
